Our Impact
Measuring Change That Lasts
Impact at AOOF is measured not only by the number of people reached, but by the lasting transformation achieved in their lives, their families and their communities.
Stories of Transformation
Impact Beyond the Numbers
Behind every statistic is a person whose life has changed. These are some of the stories that remind us why this work matters.
👦
From the Streets to the Classroom
A 12-year-old boy rescued from the streets of Kisumu East was traced back to his family, enrolled in a local school, and today participates in a football club supported by AOOF’s sports programme. His teacher reports he is among the most enthusiastic learners in his class.
👩🏫
A Girl Who Stayed in School
Before AOOF, a 14-year-old girl in Kisumu East was missing four to five days of school every month. After receiving a menstrual hygiene kit and participating in health education sessions, she has not missed a single day in six months. She now mentors younger girls in her community.
👩💼
A Widow Who Found Her Voice
After joining an AOOF-supported table banking group, a widow from Kisumu East launched a small vegetable business, repaid her savings loan within three months, and was elected chair of her group. She now advocates for other widows to know and assert their rights.
